ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application

Public Notice: 2026–2027 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application

San Isidro ISD is providing public notice of its intent to apply for the 2026–2027 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

In accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Section 8306, Local Educational Agencies are required to provide a reasonable opportunity for public comment before submitting the application.

The ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application supports programs and services designed to improve student academic achievement and provide additional educational opportunities for all students.


Purpose of the Grant Application

The ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application supports programs that:

  • Strengthen academic achievement in reading, math, and foundational skills
  • Provide supplemental instructional support for students identified as academically at risk
  • Improve instructional strategies and educational programs
  • Support parent and family engagement
  • Ensure equitable access to educational opportunities
  • Enhance coordination among federal and state educational programs

Planned District Priorities

San Isidro ISD plans to utilize grant-funded programs and resources to:

  • Implement targeted interventions and supplemental instructional support
  • Utilize data tracking systems and regular data review meetings to monitor student progress
  • Provide small-group instruction and evidence-based academic interventions
  • Support differentiated instruction to address diverse student learning needs
  • Improve overall student proficiency and close academic achievement gaps

Program Coordination

San Isidro ISD coordinates Title I, Part A services with other educational programs, including:

  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
  • Rehabilitation Act of 1973
  • Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act
  • Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act
  • McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act

Stakeholder Involvement

The district developed the program plan through consultation with various stakeholders, including:

  • Teachers
  • Campus Administrators
  • District Staff
  • Parents and Community Members

Stakeholder feedback and public input are considered throughout the planning and review process.


Monitoring and Program Review

San Isidro ISD will periodically review and revise the Title I program to ensure effectiveness and alignment with student needs. Reviews will occur at least twice annually and will include:

  • Assessment data analysis
  • Program implementation reviews
  • Stakeholder feedback
  • Documentation through meeting minutes and sign-in sheets

Parent and Family Engagement

Parents have the right to:

  • Request information regarding teacher and paraprofessional qualifications
  • Receive notification if their child is taught for four or more consecutive weeks by a teacher not meeting certification requirements
  • Participate in district and campus engagement activities

San Isidro ISD is committed to providing timely communication in understandable formats and languages accessible to families.


Public Hearing Notice

San Isidro ISD will present information regarding the ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application during a public hearing and will allow community members the opportunity to provide input.

Time: 6:30 PM
Location: SIISD Cafetorium

Public comments received during the hearing and throughout the comment period will be reviewed and considered prior to submission of the application to the Texas Education Agency.

Parents, guardians, staff, and community members are invited to submit comments regarding the district’s ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application.
