Financial aid is money to help pay for college or career school. Grants, work-study, loans, and scholarships help make college or career school affordable.

A variety of financial aid sources are available to help you pay for college or career school.

Financial aid can come from federal, state, school, and private sources to help you pay for college or career school.

  • FEDERAL DEADLINE:

    2022–23 Academic Year

    The FAFSA form must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Central time (CT) on June 30, 2023. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on Sept. 9, 2023.

    COLLEGE DEADLINE:

    Each college may have its own deadline. Check with the college(s) you’re interested in attending. You may also want to ask your college about its definition of an application deadline. Is it the date your FAFSA form is processed or the date the college receives your processed FAFSA data?

    STATE DEADLINE:

    Texas

    Jan. 15, 2022

    For priority consideration, submit your application by Jan. 15, 2022. Additional forms may be required. Private and two-year institutions may have different deadlines. Check with your financial aid administrator.
